How to Add a Tearoom
STEP 1
The Great Tearooms of America directory uses a database with thousands of tearooms across America and we would welcome many more.
To add your new entry we first need to check that the tearoom is not already in that database - we would hate for you to take the time to enter in the new details only to find it is already listed.
Near the top of the screen there is a search box. In that search box enter the key word or phrase contained in the name of the tearoom. For example, a tea room called 'The Windsor Rose Tearoom and Gift Shop' would have a key word of 'Windsor' or phrase of 'Windsor Rose'.
We have to check this way as someone could have already entered a listing of 'Windsor Rose Tearoom' or, worse still, 'Windsor Tea Room', which would not be found if we entered the whole name.
If you don't find the tearoom you can go to Step 2 - if you do find it we would like to thank you for your efforts to help improve our service.
STEP 2
Next, we would ask that you take a minute to either use the same search box to check against a zip code or navigate through the relevant State listed on the left and then its city. If it is still not found we can be pretty sure that it is not in the database!
STEP 3
You can now safely add the tea room. You will only need the name of the tearoom and the address - it will be quicker if you know the zip code. At the end of the 'Add a tearoom' process you will have an opportunity to add more info to that listing - such as the web site address of the tea room if it has one - but it is not essential.
If you are the owner of the tearoom you can, at that point, go to our simple registration process so you can refine the listing with your own description and photographs - and access many unique and free services.
